Subscription and billing

Open Organisation, then Subscription. Admins and the owner can use this page while the trial or subscription is active. Once clocking is unavailable, only the owner can sign in. See Who can sign in. Employees never see anything about payment in the app.

A new organisation gets a 14-day trial with every feature. No card is needed.

The page shows Trial ends and how many days are left. If the trial ends before you subscribe, clocking becomes unavailable until you do. Nothing is deleted.

Each email address gets one free trial.

  1. Under Choose a plan, pick Basic, monthly or Basic, yearly.
  2. Select Subscribe.
  3. Enter your card details on the payment page.

You come back to the Subscription page, which shows Confirming your subscription… for a moment and then Active.

If you subscribe with more than two days of trial left, the first payment is taken when the trial ends. Otherwise it is taken straight away.

Plan Price
Basic, monthly A$5 per employee per month + GST
Basic, yearly A$50 per employee per year + GST

You are billed for at least 5 employees.

Everyone whose status is Active on the Employees page, whatever their role. That includes the owner and anyone who never clocks in.

These do not count:

  • people you have invited who have not joined yet
  • people who are Deactivated or Left.

With fewer than 5 active employees, you are billed for 5.

You do not need to do anything. When someone joins, leaves or is deactivated, your bill follows within a few minutes. The page shows Employees billed and Active employees now.

Plan You add an employee You remove an employee
Monthly The rest of the month is added to your next bill. The unused part of the month comes off your next bill.
Yearly The rest of the year is charged to your card straight away. The difference is credited against later bills, not refunded.

Nothing is charged for changes during the trial.

Select Manage billing to open the billing portal. There you can:

  • update your card
  • see and download invoices
  • cancel your subscription.

The status changes to Payment overdue and a notice appears at the top of the page.

  1. A grace period starts. The page shows how long it is and when it ends. Clocking keeps working.
  2. Select Manage billing and update your payment details.
  3. If the grace period ends first, clocking becomes unavailable. Employees see Clocking is paused in the app.

Once the payment goes through, clocking is turned back on.

Who can sign in when clocking is unavailable

Section titled “Who can sign in when clocking is unavailable”

Clocking becomes unavailable when the trial ends without a subscription, when a payment is still overdue after the grace period, or when the subscription is cancelled.

From then on only the owner can sign in on the web, so the owner is the one who subscribes or updates the payment details. Admins, managers and supervisors who sign in see Subscription not active and are told to ask the owner.

Once the subscription is active again, everyone can sign in as before.

  1. Select Manage billing.
  2. Cancel the subscription in the billing portal.

The Subscription page then shows Subscription ends and a date. Darg keeps working until then.

After that date the status is Cancelled and clocking is unavailable. Your records are kept. Select Subscribe to turn it back on.

Some organisations are on a plan we set up by hand. If the page has no Subscribe or Manage billing button, contact us to pay, change plan or update billing details.
